Lionel Messi alongside Cesc Fabregas and Gerard Pique were seen Barcelona casino before the Catalan pair linked up with the rest of the Barca squad to fly to Manchester.
Cesc Fabregas who is now a Chelsea midfielder flew to Spain to catch up with his former Nou Camp team-mates ahead of their Champions League match with Manchester City.
Barca players were met by supporters on arrival at the airport in Manchester, where they signed autographs and took photographs.
The 4 time champions will head into the last 16 tie as firm favourites, having come out top in their group with five wins from six.
Barca kicked out Mancity out at this stage last season, winning 4-1 on aggregate over the firsta and second leg.
Both sides will play the first match of this year's tie at the Etihad tomorrow's evening, with city's midfielder Samir Nasri tipping they will go one better than last term.
He stated that: "I think we under-estimated them too much. But we weren’t experienced enough to compete with a club of this magnitude.
"They are experienced in winning the Champions League. I think it was too much for us, we were not ready. This year will be totally different. We know what we are capable of.
"We want to defeat Barcelona because we want to go as far as possible in the Champions League, not because we want revenge.
