Gunmen reportedly open fire at Governor Rotimi Amaechi's convoy

According to Saharareporters, unknown gunmen yesterday opened fired at the convoy of Rivers state Governor, Rotimi Amaechi at Rumuolumeni, Obio Akpor, area of Port Harcourt where he had gone to campaign for APC Governorship candidate in the state, Dakuku Peterside.

David Iyofor, the governor's spokesperson, said some 'thugs' began shooting at the Governor's convoy, leading to two people in the convoy sustaining injuries. Thankfully, no life was not lost in the gun fire.
