| Mohammed Khursheed Hussain |
Mohammed Khursheed Hussain, 23, used his heroic nose to punch out 103 words on a computer keyboard to set a new global benchmark.
That action secured him a second world record - his first world record was for typing the English alphabet in just 3.43 seconds with his fingers. Mohammed, originating from Hyderabad, India, endured six-hour daily practice sessions for 3 years to whittle his nose-typing time down to a competitive one. And his time surpassed the previous best time of a minute and 33 seconds, set in Dubai in 2008. Talking about his tips on becoming a successful record holder he told the International Business Times: "If you want to set a record, every millisecond counts. "This time I typed with one eye closed, as it is very difficult otherwise to locate the keys."
Other typing world records include fastest texting on a smartphone. The was set by 15-year-old Gaurav Sharma in January in Washington. In just 18.44 seconds he typed: "The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human."
Microsoft engineer Mark Encarnación also set a best in April. He without any mistake typed the above phrase in 25.90 seconds – while blindfolded.
