ISIS has released a horrific video which shows the beheading of their second Japanese captive, Kenji Moto (pictured above).
Kenji Moto the victim
Kenji Goto, who was a freelance journalist, was taken by the terror group in October last year and was threatened with death by beheading unless an Iraqi female militant was handed over by Jordan.
However, yesternight the terror group has posted a video online showing Mr Goto being beheaded in typically brutal fashion.
The hostage is seen in the video kneeling down and wearing an orange jumpsuit, while an ISIS fighter in a balaclava stands over him with a knife. The video clip is too graphic to be shown on most websites.
Mr Goto was a married man and a father of 2. The terrorist group had reportedly contacted his wife Rinko for the first time on December 2, 2014, alleging that her husband had been taken hostage.
Earlier this month ISIS released a video demand for $200m for the release of fellow hostage Haruna Yukawa and Mr Goto.
On Tuesday Ms Goto reportedly received an email threatening to behead a Jordanian pilot being held with her husband. IS had demanded the release of Iraqi militant Sajida al-Rishawi, 46 for the lives of their hostages. But presently the group appears to have killed the hostage although the Japanese government has yet to officially confirm his death.
