Buhari in London - meets former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair

From L-R Gov. Ibikunle Amosun, Gen. Muh'd Buhari, Mr Tony Blair and Sen. Bukola Saraki
The presidential candidate of the APC Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, today held a meeting with former Prime Minister of Britain, Tony Blair, in London.
Mr. Buhari met Mr. Blair with former Governor of Kwara, Bukola Saraki and Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun. Bukola Saraki tweeted a group picture of participants at the meeting.
The tweet reads Sen. Saraki reads “Just finished a meeting with @Govsia @ThisIsBuhari and @tonyblairoffice,”.
It is not yet clear what Gen. Buhari discussed with Mr. Blair at the meeting.
Mr. Saraki obviously tweeted the picture to challenge rumours being spread by supporters of President Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP that Gen. Buhari is in the United Kingdom for medical reason.
Gen. Buhari’s campaign team had on Friday announced that Mr. Buhari had left for the U.K. on a short working visit.
The statement reads that in the course of the visit, Mr. Buhari would hold meetings with notable members of the British political establishment and interact with some global institutions with interest in the affairs of Nigeria.
“General Buhari will give a speech at the prestigious foreign policy hub, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House in London, the spokesperson for his campaign, Garba Shehu, stated.
But earlier today, the Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, released a statement, accusing the APC of lying about Gen. Buhari’s itinerary in the U.K. and claims that the candidate was in London for medical treatment.
Mr. Fayose, a loyal supporter of President Jonathan, has spread several tales that Mr. Buhari is sick and incapable of governing.
Gen. Buhari has however continued to reiterate that he is well and fit to govern and that the health and death of everyone is in the hands of God.
