Arsenal's Mesut Ozil buys SHISHA pipe, just as Coach denies club has smoking problem

Football star Mesut Ozil looks like he is joining the league of Arsenal's smoking club after buying a shisha pipe reports UK Mirror.

The £42.5million Arsenal forward was seen coming out from a specialist shop with all the gear last week after teammate Jack Wilshere was also spotted holding a pipe in a nightclub.

Arsene Wenger will be surprised when he sees the Sunday People's exclusive photos just barely 48 hours after he dislodges a smoking culture at his Premier League club.

The coach was forced to have a word with Wilshere, 23, last week for the 3rd time about the England star’s obvious smoking habit.

And only last month the Coach fined 24-year-old goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny £20,000 for lighting up a ciggie in the dressing room following the team’s 2-0 win against Southampton.

Ozil, 26, spent several minutes in the shisha shop in central London trying to select a pipe he fancied most.

A staff then assisted the £140,000-a-week star load his goods into the back of his car.

The player’s parents are originally from Turkey, where the pipes play a large part in cultural their life. Shisha pipes uses flavoured tobacco which is drawn through a long pipe connected to a vessel filled with water.

The World Health Organisation has cautioned that a one-hour shisha session is worse than smoking 100 cigarettes.

On Friday, Arsenal's coach, Wenger now 65, claims that people were wrong to claim there is a smoking culture at Arsenal.

While speaking about the photo of Wilshere holding the pipe, he said: “I’ve spoken with him about that, he’s not a smoker but he is sorry for what happened.

“It’s down to him to master his life. He had a day off the next day, he went out to watch the Superbowl.

“When he is here he has to follow the rules that we dictate.

"When he’s out of his job it’s his own responsibility to behave like he wants to behave.”

Wilshere, who has not played any match since November because of an ankle injury, has been previously pictured with a cigarette twice – at a Las Vegas pool party last summer and outside a London club in 2013.

After the latest photos appeared, he put a video online of himself training with the words: “Worry about your character not your reputation.”
