You could be dating a guy for years and still be his side-chick. To avoid such a situation like this, note these hints.
1. He hardly recognises you on his social networks:
Note, these includes his BBM, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. This can be a great sign. If your guy is active on social media and his hardly recognises you, then you have to be on alert. He often uploads pictures about his many travels but when it comes to proclaiming his love for you through this medium, he hardly or never does. If this is you, definitely you might just be number two.
2. You have no “title”:
During your birthday and he uses your picture as his DP but captions it: “Happy birthday Shade” or “Happy birthday, dear”. This is a smart move by this type of guy as this action interprets alot without incriminating him.
3. He often dials or receives calls from a particular unsaved number:
This is not invading privacy or snooping around, but sometimes, you just need to be vigilant about who your boyfriend talks to on the phone. If you observe that, he has this particular phone number that calls all the time that he just always has to pick. Each time that particular number calls, he excuses himself. Most cases, the number might be even be saved with a random name. Re-check that boyfriend of yours because that might be his main babe.
4. He hates surprise visits from you:
Ever tried surprising your boyfriend at his house and he gets so angry with you. Beware that reason might be because you are the side-chick. He does not want you visiting unannounced without calling first. He states to you the impression that he hates surprises, this is definitely because you are the side chick sweetheart. Be at alert!
5. He only picks your calls at a particular time of the day:
This often occurs when you are not around him. He needs to find ways to be with his main chick so at that point, you as his side-chic become irrelevant. This usually occurs mostly on weekends. The major reason why he goes MIA during the weekend sometimes is because they both work during the week and the weekend is their only alone time. 7. He hardly introduces you as his girlfriend:

8. He hardly or never keeps his promises:
This factor is also one of the major things. He promises you things and for one reason or another, he ends up not giving you often. If you were his main-babe, he'd go to any length to make you happy. So if he often does this to you, Be at alert!
9. Always trust your instincts sometimes:
