According to Atlanta police department, they were called to the residence of Kylie Norman around 5am and when they got there, they found a woman with "welts under her eyes, a golf ball-sized knot on her forehead, a deep cut to her nose and a blood clot in her right eye".
The woman was later revealed as Norman's fiancee. She told police they'd been arguing about the activities of their upcoming wedding when Norman attacked her, punched her, choked her with a scarf and then shoved her engagement ring down her throat.
Police stated that after the attack, Norman broke her phone and seized her car keys, refusing to let her leave the house. She stated that because she was scared for her life, she began to agree with everything he said in other to calm him down. When he was calm and walked away from her, she took his phone and ran out of the house to a neighbour's house where she called the police.
“She stated that she began to agree with things that he was saying in an attempt to calm him down,” the officer who was at the scene wrote. “While doing that he turned around and walked away inside their loft and she ran and grabbed his cell phone and was able to run outside and awake a neighbor who let her inside.”Norman was immediately arrested and he later told police he was upset about his dad having cancer and that’s the reason he got so mad at his fiance.
He's currently being held at the Fulton County Jail on a charge of aggravated assault.
